As most of you may know, earlier today my car was broken into, lucky the thieves were retarded... Needless to say my 1 - way viper alarm might be in need of an upgrade. Any suggestions on what to look for in an alarm?

That is the alarm I have coming in. It is cheap but it is a two way remote. I believe it's only cheaper because it has no remote start. I also would get a glass break sensor or something similar as I've heard they give less false alarms.

There are a shit load of options out there for car alarms. You have to figure out what you want out of your car alarm before you buy one. For instance my suburban back home has a 1 way Viper alarm with a glass break sensor, a level sensor in case someone tries jacking it up, a wheel alarm sensor, a backup battery, a backup siren, 4 knock sensors, and an interior motion detector to top it all off. So there are options out there for upgrading your current alarm. There is also a way to add security cameras to the existing alarm if you wanted to do that.
