fuse?

i have a hifonics brutus 1200 d amp and it has two 70 amp fuses in it and a sony xplod with 2 30 amp fuses on it and have one 150a inline fuse is that enough for it? it runs fine and has run fine for 6 months. im running 4 gauge wire. and would i need to up my fuse if i go to 0 gauge? i just started looking into it and my research add up all the fuses and i need one that size so it be 200 amp fuse

The 150 should be fine for now, if it does blow then go up to the 200a fuse.

If your amps have fuses then you need to fuse for the wires rating. So if the wire is like 1/0 cca then use a 250 amp fuse. Now lets say you have a wire from a second battery close to an amp, you want to fuse for the amp's rated fusing. Like the skar 1500.1's which don't have an external fuse.

The fuse is designed to portect the wire in most cases, not the equipment.

140 + 60 is 200. thats 0 gauge territory.

but yeah if it hasn't blown so far then you should be fine i guess. but if it does then you may need to start considering upgrading wire/etc

Ok thank you and can you over fuse? If I were to use a 250 or 300 a fuse in my current set up would that be ok?

No, if you put to big of a fuse in every where you may as well just remove them and run no fuses. The fuse is there to protect they equipment and wire.
