numatik Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 Depending on what I'm glassing I never end up doing the exact amount of 'drops' of hardener into my mix. I always guesstimate and occasionally towards the end of my batch it gets jelly. I'm wondering if there's a more practical way of measuring whether it being tablespoons, or like a percentage of a shot glass etc for various size batches so the mixture is correct. Those are just ideas off the too on my head, what do you guys do? I would like to hear different ways people do it cause for my 16oz batch measuring 260 drops is a little crazy imo. numatik Posted March 23, 2013 Author Report Posted March 23, 2013 Thanks for the responses. I went to tap today to get mixing cups and one of the guys there showed me a trick. There were two sizes of catalyst you can buy and the bigger ones cap when filled is equal to 110 drops. The smaller cap to another bottle equals 50 drops. That made it sooo much easier and other ppl reading this should try it.
