Bradprobert Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 My truck is currently in the shop but yea that would be great ill have to get pics of what I have to work with. Are you pretty good at it? well i won a regional science fair and im about to go to state on how a subwoofer box works so ive got a pretty good idea of how to get it going. and then after its designed some guys with more practical experience will probably chime in one way or another. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

Hunters21w Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 I would stick to 1.5-1.75cft per sub with the power that your planning on running. 2cft in my opinion is good for rated or less power on them. Once you start to go over rated of the sub your goin to want to shrink it a tad. notbagd Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 I am currently running a BC2000 @ 1 ohm with 2 Sa 12s (D4) in a ported box tuned to ~37 Hz and 1.65 cu. ft. per speaker after all displacements. Sounds pretty good with most types of music but kills it with rap and most songs with bass around 40-65Hz. I would say tune your box anywhere from 34-40Hz for the music types you listen to. You can check out my build on here and let me know if you have any questions. GLW your build.

CleanSierra Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 No such thing as a D1 SA12 (unless its special ordered) Was gonna say that. PLUS Hunter mentioned something about tuning. Tuning should really be vehicle specific, not SUB specific. I wouldn't tune to 29 in any vehicle unless it was a straight SQ monster. A little truck is fine at mid 30s Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Hunters21w Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 No such thing as a D1 SA12 (unless its special ordered) I was thinking the same thing but I wasn't 100% lol. I'm asking a question I want answered by someone with experience with these subs around that amount of power. I'm smart enough to read sundowns site smart ass. Don't me mad at him I'd be mad too if alls I had was an old ass explorer and every post on a forum I made was for box designs that no one ever replied too
