where to find alternator/rebuild and are kenetic batteries the best?

I have 2 Kinetic HC800's under the hood of my 51 and they are like 5 years old. Still float at 13+ volts.

i think im going to test out with a cheap high CA flooded bat and then buy a kinetic and see how the system acts with both of them. in the end ill have 3 flooded and one AGM battery.

Totally agree with 'Watch the Bass' ! I have also good experience with the Optima YT, but for your purposes the XS should be better.

A AGM Battery has a lower electrical resistance, so he can provide faster and more current. Also he can bee deeply discharged without getting damaged like a liquid.

Funny thing is you will come across lots of good and BAD stories on any of these leading brands although I believe most of the time it is user error in not charging correctly, etc. Kinetik and XS are good brands and XS is definately the better of the two. It all depends how deep your pockets are or if you can find some good ones for cheap
