How to upgrade from Bose

i have a yukon with bose i have a kenwood 890hd and want to upgrade the door speakers and tweeters. ive heard that you cant just put new speakers in because they are different ohm. i dont know if this is true or not... i really dont want to run new wire either for door speakers. anybody have an answer? thanks

I doubt you had to use factory amp.

Op measure the resistance of a speaker to see what you should buy.

Also will see minimal gains.

Best to get a new amp and run new wires

if you have a 10 speaker Bose you might have the same amp I have on my Mazda cx-9

I took all my bose out except the tweeter, and i am about to replace the tweeteters in a couple of weeks.

They may sound good to you right now , but trust me it will sound a hell of a lot better if you get a new amp and run wires and replace all or most of the speakers
