everythinginstall Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 So this is my 2002 GMC 3500 Savana Van that I drive around everyday doing Commercial and Residential home audio installs in with my business partner. We are both Old Schhol Car Audio guys and decided to do something fun with the Van. Alot of Sound and spend as little as possible. Mainly to have fun with his younger siblings who spend tons on audio that never seems to be all that fantastic. Basically, I made a comment that build and install has alot to do with how something sounds. You dont always have to have the most expensive subs and the most expensive amp to get sound. Proper Box design and build detail will prevail. So heres What I decided. I had some Kicker Ks400 4" speakers laying around and decided to start with some fun but functional for a work van door panels. So since I have 2 pairs of the 4" speakers, I got online and found 2 Pairs of the Kicker KS600 6" speakers for $50 a pair. So the door panels will have 1 Pair of 4" speakers and 1 pair of 6" speakers in each door. Next after a little debating I went with Lanzar Max Pro 12" subs....6 of them. $45.00 a piece for some subs....yeah that will work. So this is going to be my build for our daily driver work van. Hope you like. Still havent quite picked out an amp yet for the system but have been lookin at the Lanzar mp2651D amp if anyone has any suggestions. $299.99 for an amp that will probably make close to 2100-2500 rms. Not bad. And suggestions for a program to design and build a box would be awesome....Or someone on the forum with a nice program that wouldnt mind helping out!!

everythinginstall Posted March 31, 2013 Author Report Posted March 31, 2013 Some Updated Pics! Installed the passanger door and door parts I had to order from about 6 different places to get all the parts.....The van had no door panels at all when we purchased it in october!
