Need Box Build

Recommended Posts

Why is that? Ive seen a Kicker cvr 15 in a regular cab silverado before, and it slams!

Because the mounting depth on that speaker is over 8 inches. Add that to the thickness of the back of a box and room for the sub to move without hitting your seat....You probably won't have that kind of room without moving your seat way forward.

Because the proper size enclosure (without looking janky) for that truck is 56 wide X 13.50 tall. A CVR15 is taller than 13.50.

The CVR will be on the passenger side, which the seat will be moved up. The height for the box, well I can go over 13.50, i'll go half way up the window If I have to.

If I do go to 12s, Which would be the best for a regular cab without doing a blow through?

ditch the center seat, and 15 and build a center console for a 12 or 10. i have a single 12 in my 98 chevy in a ported console, that will look a lot better, and probaly perform a lot better than a 15 in to small of an enclosure.

heres the build my lazy ass is still working on.
