You can do that or go hdmi straight to the monitor and use fiber optic out to the stereo Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Torres
OR...what if i took the A/V cable from the PS3 and put the red RCA into the red RCA jack on the surround speaker/receiver/subwoofer, and did the same with the white one? it'd have a 2-to-1 converter for the RCA's, but would still go through that for sound, am i right? ChevyBoy
yes youre right. i have hdmi for my video to my tv, then i used the a/v cable to go to surround sound. you just have to go into settings and change the output of the sound from hdmi to a/v. Torres
ah i see. got my settings all up at least. displays on 1080p. so far so good, still having some sound issues tho. now my PC wont play music. maybe i'll try to reboot. EDIT: ah shit...still no sound. no optic cable anywhere on my sound stuff to plug in from the PS3. hmmm... EDIT EDIT: damn...just realized i put the A/V cable...which is output...to the RCA's on the subwoofer...which are also outputs. DAMN think i got another idea tho... EDIT EDIT EDIT : another failed attempt. tried a connector to run the A/V output straight to the speakers. that's a no go. am i gonna need some sorta box? did get my original sound working tho. just no PS3 sound Edited February 12, 2008 by ExpoSport
