ImaNoob
What fans are you guys running to cool your amps ? I bought a fan from radio shack, Its for computers and it has a high pitch noise its driving me crazy.. My vm1 reads 14.3 to 13.7 and the fan is 12 volts..Would this cause it to over rev ? Thanks... 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Xs3400 1500BDCP FI BL 12 3sq @ 32hz Rockford t675 T400.2 Stinger Deadner Build Log Here
Wicks
Any 12VDC fan will work. A couple more volts may make it run a little faster but nothing to worry about. A quality fan should be rated for speed, air flow (CFM) and noise. Look for one with low noise and high flow (CFM). CLNSHVNnDRAGGN
Silverstone FM121's are great if you want a 120mm. They cost a little more but have a high cfm (110), variable speed, and are relatively quiet. I run them in a couple of my computers and have a couple I've used in a few of my installs and love them. www.facebook.com/BILLatDivineCreationsPhoto He was taunting me. Ben Fultz
Hmm might have to look into those Radio Shack fans, Ones I use are only 1000 RPMs and 40 CFM.
