c_man7
I'm about to order a single sa-8 v.2. I'm not sure which one I should get to go good with my amp the dual 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm. The generic power of the amp says 500 @ 4, 750 @ 2, and 1000 @ 1. However the birth sheet that came with it says 750 @ 4, 975 @ 2, and 1300 at 1. So I was thinking to just be safe and get the dual 2 run it at 4 ohm for a while then I can switch it over to 1 ohm later. As far as other electric I have stock altenator, big 3 (done in 4g), 0g power and ground and then 4g from the distribution block to the amps. I'm thinking about gettting one of the dave the box guys single 8" slot port boxes, .75 after displacement tuned to 35 hz. Its going in a scion tc. Let me know what you guys think I should do to get a good over all sound and still be able to get loud if need be.

Joe X
You have space for 12s back there, I wouldn't do 8s more so if you are thinking of upgrading later.
c_man7
I had two sa-8 v.1 in my truck. Then I got 2 sa-12 in my tc and they take my whole trunk. So i'm just looking for something to hold me over till the x-8s finally come out. Just want to check which would be the best to use.
Chris Hammer
4ohm on one sa-8...still almost double rated power. c_man7
on the 750 @ 4 ohm on the birth sheet was 14.5 volt stable, which I know I'm not at so Its probably closer to 600 something. right? which isnt bad since the subs are 500 rms and I've seen then on 1000 watts before. RooTxBeeR
4ohm on one sa-8...still almost double rated power. I agree, I would save up for another 8 to wire down to 1 ohm. If you are looking to save space then yes at least two 8"s, two 10s will give you about 43% of extra cone area and will only cost you about 0.8 cubes of extra of net volume. Depends on your goals.
