SnowDrifter Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Just so you know it's not exactly a simple drop in.Running 16v can be, but you need to do your homework on every single electrical component in your car from the car's computer, to your head unit, to your amps, to the ABS, etc. You need to make sure the car can handle it. I had to DIY some stepdowns for a couple components in my car to run itRunning 18v needs special amps and 2 separate electrical systems in the car. A 12v side and an 18v side.More food for thought: A 14v battery needs to be charged at 16.1v minimum, and a 16v battery needs to be charged at 18.4 minimum.
