It's rated at 900 Watts at 2 ohms. It also doesn't have an ACTUAL power rating or distortion rating at 1 ohm. The reason that I have my input is because I know people with experience with the amp. I didn't have to pull a specs sheet to find the numbers you posted. This forum is here for information and we try to STOP the spread of misinformation when we see it. Yours was bad twice in the same post and could have led to the guy hooking his shit up at 1 ohm, and damaging it because he TRUSTED your advice and didn't look at his own manual, which btw is misleading for a noob.

So model number or not, it's not advised to run any of these Kenwood amps at less than 2 ohms. The info on the open hole can't be overlooked either.

Also the manual for that amp says its capable of running 1 ohm. See page six:

I did connect it at 1 ohm and it made such a horrid sound i thought the sub blew. What gauge wire should I be running for this amp?

1/0awg into a distroblock or battery and 4awg into amp. The 1/0awg in case you wanna upgrade. Your kenwood will not work at 1ohm. Kenwoods run hot as is.

Pull your fuses I can guaranty you blew at least one of them. A big give away for why the amp isn't 1-Ohm stable, other than the components not being able to withstand it, is that it only has 3x30amp fuses in it.

And the amp only accepts up to 4-gauge wire in the power/ground terminals. I haven't measured the speaker terminals but it doesn't really matter too much because I doubt you will get speaker wire too big for it. But as a guesstimate I would say 12-gauge.

I would also check your coils on your sub to make sure they are still working after what you put them through.

I only see 2 30 amp fuses in the owners manual.

Wait lemme see if mine is the same sub model Mine may be a 9105d
