Quinn Acoustics 8" Review

Well, I was in the market for an 8" subwoofer for my dad's lincoln, and came across this little beast on eBay. It's no SA8 but it gets down and dirty. Inch and a half thick slug.

Anyhow shortly after I snipe dit for 35 bucks on eBay I found an hx2 8" on craigslsit and went and scooped that up. This sat for a year or so. I was bored today, and had everyhting I needed jus tlying around, so I went and finally hooked it up.

It sounds fantastic! In a prefab (admittedly Quinn factory prefab) box it sounds unbelievable. It's louder I would have though, and digs nice and low doen to my infra at 30, while maintaining a smooth curve through 80hz.

For a 100 dollar woofer, it does itself justice.

Because I needed additional starting power in the winter, and it was what I had available. I seldom drove, and it gets COLD in wisconsin. My car sometimes wouldn't start. I'd of put my optima in the back but the 31 wouldn't fit up front. I'm in college man, gotta make stuff work. It's coming out in a week when I head back up home. And in any case.... Not the purpose of the thread to have to defend myself.

My god lay off. I used to work for a SULFIDE mine. I'm in college to be a geochemist, and trust me, a little sulfur dioxide isn't going to kill you. if you aren't taking hits out of a spoon with a lighter you're going to be just fine. Living in Las Vegas or San Fran is way worse than the cabin of my car.
