When i turn up very loud my highs and mids don't turn off completely bit muffle to almost non hearing and will come in and out from on to muffled. They have 16 guage? And my sub amp and 4 channel are running off same power line through a distribution.
Ben Fultz Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 What's you electrical like? Could be your sub amp is just drawing a lot of power and your mid/high amp is suffering.

gattiboy13 Posted May 9, 2013 Author Report Posted May 9, 2013 Amps-RE DTX 2000.1 mono & RE XTX 500.5 as my 4 channel. Speakers- 2 sets Alpine type S components and sub is RF P2D4.
gattiboy13 Posted May 10, 2013 Author Report Posted May 10, 2013 I just checked wires too. And its 4gauge from hood to fuse distribution, then 8gauge to both amps. And speaker in doors have 16 gauge and sub has what looks like 8 maybe a tad smaller
boom50cal Posted May 10, 2013 Report Posted May 10, 2013 There's part of your problem, 8 to a "2kw" monoblock. ATLEAST 2 gauge to anything over 1500w, imo. You can get a killer deal on some SkyHigh 1/0 cca or ofc, a single run of that and splitting it into the two amps with 4 gauge for a short distance would work greay.
