Alright so I threw a system in last night. There's an s3400 up front with 1 1/0 run to a d2700 and xp950 in the back, its grounded in the back (shitty ground) but the spot is sanded down. I can turn it up to about 7 or 8 before it cuts out, I figure it's just the shitty ground, but trying to see what other people think it could be.

What the f**k is an appropriate signature supposed to look like?

Also: what's your voltage at the amp and can you verify your ohm load with a dmm?

Have not yet checked voltage, but the gain is all the way down and its at 4 ohms, so it shouldn't be sucking up all the amps my car has.

Could be the subs wired wrong or ohm load is lower then what the amp can handle. But, I see this a lot at the shop I work at and it turns out to be subs wired wrong/ohm load to low for amp. Start with checking all the wiring. If you have a meter see what your subs are metering. Could have a bad sub. Good luck. Hope its just something small.

Also: have you checked your fuses? No loose strands on the speaker wire that could be shorting out?

Tightened all connections to be sure?

I'll go check, but all I did was move my sub from one car to my current car. It was wired at 4 ohms before and nobody has messed with it. I'll see what ohms it's at in a minute.

All the connections are in their correct holes and no wires are touching. I'll go dis and re connect all my wires real quick just to make sure.

Hooked the 9510 up to it (made my steering wheel flex on volume 7....free-air) Which leads me to believe I have my 360 gain turned up too high and the amp can't accept such a high input voltage.
