They're coming. I need to tune the xover and amp, and right now I'm home with the kiddos, so when wifey gets home ill drive somewhere and get it tuned up and make vids.

Just a better look at everything installed. Sorry no flex yet. First I have to get my buddy to lift the box up for me to tweak the amps and xover. Second, I must get a few minutes when wifey is home so I can get away from the kiddos long enough to find a place where I wont bother anyone... (If you know what I mean) lol...

Yeah, I love my e46. Especially the wagon. Because there are just not a lot of bmw wagons running around here, so im kind of in a club of my own here lol.

As for the build, I have to say, the system is really much louder than even I expected. and the system really starts moving air below 40... I played a 22hert tone yesterday at almost full volume and became mildly disoriented. Made me proud. lol

Anyway, Aside from the new tweeters I installed tonight, the midrange and tweets and amps are exactly the same as what I had in the car when the 15 inch kicker L7`s were in there, and the system sounded well rounded at that time, but now with these sundowns in it, even with the bass on the head unit all the way down, all you hear is hi-hat, hi-hat, snare, them BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM, and nothing else. The subs completely wash out the rest of the system. So Im going to have to crank the orion amp up on the mids and tweets, readjust the crossover points on the highs and lows. Then (And I can not believe I am going to say this) I need to turn the Cadence amp down on the Subs.. ha ha ha , turn the amp down,, I didn't even know those words could be put together in a sentence as such. lol

Oh and for anyone interested, yes, being a long time die hard Kicker fan, I am convinced now, that maybe kicker has run their course. Im moving forward and will never look back.

For my next system, in the distant future, probably sundown Nightshades. mmmmmmmmm

So not fair.. Man them gold letters banged like crazy back in the day. I can remember having 4 twelve inch gold letters in my mazda extend cab, and couldnt even take a drink out of my sonic cup when it was hitting. Those are the reason I stayed with kicker for so long, and I admit that I had a very opinionated closed mind towards other products. I did veer off and purchase a couple of JL Audio 15w6`s back in the day, and they sounded fly as he77 but, I locked up both up so tight you could stand on them and not move the coils. So back to kicker I went.

I wish kicker would get back on track, I mean all they offer that really make any sense is the L7`s, they are nice and loud, yet they sound hard and cardboard-ish, and dont really have the xmax to compare to many other products out there. Their highest model is the solo-x, and I mean, you have to have like 4500 dollars worth of amplifier power to push one decently and a box the size of a small apartment in tokyo. It also doesnt help that nowadays when you go to most forums, and someone mentions kicker, most people gawk, and snicker. Kicker just isnt held to the same esteem they had back in the day.

But Im happy, these sundowns are definitely performing well, and until something big happens with my old emissary Kicker, Im going to continue exploring new avenues.
