You'll be fine with 40hz tuning playing decaf or anything else out there unless your wanting to get into the mid to low 20's than your SOL with that box.

my 15 was @ 37hz

and my misses old better kicker e15 is at 39hz

and i only run a build in 24hz high pass (built in most kicker amps)

and they played down to there no problem just not as loud as a lower tuned box, but still got down there
