Need some tweet suggestions, Don't really know what to go with to match NeoPro mids.

Got some Sundown neoPro 6.5's for each front door. One 4 ohm in each door. I need some 4ohm tweets too and don't really know what I should go with. I have about 55w for each at 4ohm.

I wish they had the selenium tweets in 4ohm, but I can only find 8. Anyone have suggestions for something similar? I have about 3.5" diameter area to play with.MAYBE 4 and probably 1.5-2inches mounting depth extendable to maybe 2.5 max.

I don't want them to overpower the mids, but I still like my music bright and have always had my tweets eq'd up a little, but I've heard the pro audio tweeters can be over powering.

Any suggestions welcome. Budget wise, I want to keep it fairly budget concious, It is a budget build after all. Maybe like 30-40$ a piece...maybe 50 if someone really talks me into it.

Thanks for any help.

The neopro 6.5 has approx. 90.7db efficiency. If you wanted a tweeter to match I'd get one within 2DB of that, with power handling adequate to your amp (or matching the neopro, preferably) and matching resistance.

With an 8 ohm tweeter around 2-5 db higher will be optimal (only need 50% the power handling that the neopros will see) since you like them to sound bright, I'd err more towards the 5db higher. 6db might be too high.

*New vehicle and system coming soon.*

There are these as well:

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=275-075

*Edit- Just noticed they were 8 ohm with final impedance of 5.6 ohms :(

Everything else looked good, spec wise though

These are great. I had them 4 of them in my car 2 yrs. ago. Really laid back sound. As long as you cross them above 2500hz they will sound great. Didn't really even need any eq.

Chris on the subject of the resistance; why do the tweeters need to be 4 ohms? If you get a higher efficiency 8 ohm tweeter the wattage will be cut by half but the tweeters sensitivity will make up for it. What is the sensitivity on those neo pro's? Having a hard time finding it.

Will a friend gave me some super tweets for now, I gave him some leftover wire and chepa rca's, they're pioneer ones.. THey aren't anything great. I have a feeling I won't like them, but I'm going to give them a shot and if I like em keep em, If not Ill go with those vifa's. I wasn't thinking about the sensitivity, you make a good point, and the draw on electrical will be even less.

What I could find the sensitivity is 95db on the neopro 6's (IF my memory is correct, that was a few days ago.)

So far I love them though.
