MarcusD80 Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 Whats up everybody. My name is Marcus Davis but better known as -man man-. I am 22 years old and I am very interested in being apart of the car audio industry. As of moment I am working a dead end job at red robin in Arizona and I am currently enrolled at mobile dynamics studying to get certified as a basic installer. I have been day dreaming about getting into this field for awhile now ever since i.did my first install which was really shity but it worked and it hit pretty nice. Now I'm alot better and learned alot through the courses I've taken so far. Now, since I've gone through my divorce and left with nothing I'm wanting to post an ad on craigslist offering basic installations for people who already have the equipment but dont want to go to a shop to have it installed to make some extra money so I can get back on my feet, put money back into what im doing for wiring, harnesses, etc. and eventually save up for a shop. But, im just afraid of fuckin up and afraid of failure. I know this is a long ass post but I really need some advice from anyone.

john253a Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 All I can say is First get a business name and register it (you'll need for insurance) Then requester the domain name(cost $50 over here so $$$ unknown) And build a web site (no need to sell of anything fancy just a cover page with some pics of work and contact details) get some insurance and public liberty Advertise, (it takes money to make money) Then your set to go as long as you have tools I also like set pricing Round my way everyone is around the same price give or take $5 and there all cost plus $80 single din H/U $100 double $60 rear shelf off factory wires top mount (no remove shelf) $80 if shelf has to be removed $60 doors no remove card factory wires $80 if card has to be remove $120 amp install reconnected into factory wiring harness behind h/u (at time of h/u install no power supplied) $140 if after h/u install +$20 per pair amp to speaker upto door or shelf (not through connected to factory through wire with 20awg supplied) +$40 per pair amp to speaker through door or shelf(20awg supplied larger wire +$$$) +$20 through door/shelf if at speaker install $400 full install wired amp-speaker no joining (20awg speaker and 8g power supplied, larger +$$$) There are a ton more price but there no longer the base install and most Not sure if there close to what you'd pay put that's what they pay round my way for factory finish clean install
