Nubcakeninja
ive got a 95 blazer, i wanna build a box for 2 12 inch dc level 4's ill be getting sometime soon. this is the first time of trying to build a box and was wondering how to go about doing this and if someone could help me or show me how to use the torres calculator to build a box. i would like it to have the port facing the back and the subs firing up and idk what size the port needs to be for tuning purposes but i can find the dimensions of the back of my blazer tomorrow if someone is willing to help me just do a basic design. ive got a t2500.1bd and was just wondering on the space ill need and the port size for tuning. thanks a lot if you can help me 1995 Blazer lt 4dr 2 t1d412s 1 t2500.1bd 4 polk audio door speakers 2 dash speakers(coming soon) 1 amp to run my mids and highs(coming soon)
Joe X
The dimensions below have worked for similar Blazers, just check you can fit the following (2x DC Audio L4m2 subs up/port back): Enclosure Specifications:Fb = 34.5 HzVb = 3.75 ft^3External Height = 16.25 inExternal Width = 38 inExternal Depth = 20 inPort Width = 4 5/8 inCut Sheet List:* All Dimensions in Inches.* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.External Enclosure Parts:2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 38 x 20Left & Right Sides = 18 1/2 x 142x Front = 16 11/16 x 14Back = 38 x 14Shared Port Internal Assembly Parts:2 x Front to Back = 16 3/16 x 142 x Extension = 9 15/16 x 14 Assembly guide (generic dimensions): Important notes:- The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the one/ones inside the port, if you want that let me know.- All boxes built outside the car need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.- The port needs 4 5/8" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.- Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested. Nubcakeninja
Does adding the 45s make much of a difference or is it kind of a preference thing? 1995 Blazer lt 4dr 2 t1d412s 1 t2500.1bd 4 polk audio door speakers 2 dash speakers(coming soon) 1 amp to run my mids and highs(coming soon)
Joe X
It's a controversial topic, at least the 45s at the turn of the port are recommended and all sharp edges inside the port should be rounded or slanted.
