Fucking love Alan you goddamned fucking super nerd lol

When Alan uses big words I don't understand

It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out.

Everytime I see a guy driving a mini cooper I cant help but think he loves cock & (2/29/16)-My wife just bitched at me about throwing out things we don't really use. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room.

I missed Alan.

RIP 5/29/15 - I love you son.

take proper measurements of the gap, top plate, coil wind height, and spider landing height on basket to position the spider.

its not something that you go and say well this looks good... proper parts is what you need, not a bunch of guessing.

No one can tell you where it needs to be, or if it looks good, because without measuring your just pissing away all the time, money, and parts invested into it.

exactly.

if thats to close, use spacers under the basket. your worried about the coil bottoming out if you move spider, buttt what happens if you leave it as is and smash the spider off the motor?

Not to say that isn't the proven technique, but this project was largely founded on guessing. Guessing within reason, but still; guessing.

My whole point of this is to try out something different and new, just so you know. I'm still looking for ideas and whatnot, but doing this by the book isn't the idea.

Having said that, what is the relevancy of the gap measurements for the spiders in this case?

lol I literally didn't sleep last night and had my final today, I'm a little zoned out at the moment, I completely forgot about putting more space between the basket, that's gonna fix my problem right away, so never mind.

Thanks for the reminder fox.

Your coil needs to be ceneterd in your top plate is what i think Brian is saying.

That is something you dont want to be guessing on really.

yea i guess Im wrong. I never built a woofer...

Trying to help you so you understand on how to do it and not guess if you would take the time to measure said items to get you set on where to position it...

but please enlighten me undistributed woofer builder! Im sure maybe you can tell every woofer manufacture how to build their subs better too.

This is why Im a dick. because cocky punk ass kids think they know all, but dont know shit and think they are right.

When did centering the coil become the topic here? Lol, I never said anything about guessing on that right now, this is all about spider adjustment.

LOL, I'm gonna assume you've not kept up with 100% of the posts. Yep, I'm definitely a "cocky punk ass kid who thinks I know it all, but don't know shit and think I'm right"

Man, thanks for finally opening my eyes, I forgot that asking advice, sharing openly about all my ideas and plans, and using plenty of the feedback I've been given (just scroll back through the pages if you don't believe me) is definitely sooooooo cocky. What am I thinking trying that here? I don't know why you seem to have an issue with so much of what I say, I get the feeling you misinterpret some of the things I write and tend to over react to them, just saying; no offense meant.

Maybe you can't tell, but I'm extremely sarcastic and I don't expect everyone to always pick up on it, but you might be mistakenly taking that for a punk attitude. Like where you tried to mock my title of "undisPuted woofer building", but I'll just let you know, that mostly a joke, hence the (self-proclaimed).

You haven't seen the emails I had back and forth with Jacob about these measurements down to the hundredth of a millimeter. You haven't seen the PM's, or any of the other emails I've had about plenty o the more technical aspects man. You don't know all the specifics and I don't expect you to, maybe ask me before you goes rage mode ok?
