I've been busy this weekend trying to get it done. Drilled a bunch, cut a bunch and all that. Tomorrow is the day; top plate will be attempted to be combined with the base.

Yeah it grew legs and starting running. But the acoustics are all wrong. It makes an occasional high pitched yelping noise randomly. I can't control when it happens. I think it's because it's being under-powered?? I can't find anywhere to plug the amp in, theres only one hole on it and it won't let me put the power wires in it. It's the weirdest thing. I think I'll call it the funky-pup. (LOL GET IT? SEE WHAT I DID THERE? BECAUSE ITS A DOG? HAHAHA IT'S FUNNY, RIGHT?!?!)

It's a can of wet dog food, the older dog chews on it, it's not the best for her teeth but she's already 14, and she has never cut herself on it. The vet isn't concerned and she loves it so I won't ruin her happiness for nothing.

So I know I said the top and bottom would probably be joined today, but I wasn't expecting car trouble after my 6:30 class. So I was stuck at school figuring it out, thankfully I got it to start after about an hour and a half. The ignition switch is bad. I checked voltages on everything from the starter to the relay, tried to jump the starter, check the relay, but nothing. And then it dawned on me; purple is the ignition. So I smashed the DMM into the purple wire and boom, no voltage going back once you tried to start the engine. So I just used the clamp and wire to basically jump it from the battery. So that's how it starts for now. I just got home and to add on top of the limited time I already had, I broke a bottle of red wine and that took forever to clean up too.

BTW, I'm assuming that I need to replace it but if anyone has any ideas as to what I need to replace/fix I'm all ears. The ignition is original so it might be beyond saving, but any ideas are welcome.

And then there's this little flop I was working on. Somehow it seemed to work in my mind when I was at home depot, the idea was to create a wooden jig that has holes that line up between the magnet poles, and then I would run thin aluminum rods through the top plate into the wood to keep it aligned as I connected it but then I realized after completing the first half that there would be no way to get it off after the top plate was on lol, so I wasted a good hour on it, and I ended up snapping the belt on the drilling press for nothing haha. Here's the foolish piece: I don't have a picture of the finished product, but I did in fact cut out all those holes before realizing the problem.
