you don't need an isolator. As long as they are the same voltage the reserve capacity isn't affected

Yeah. Well the way I know it is, "Don't mix batteries" I'm not sure if that means brands and voltages only, or if it also means models/sizes. I thought they all had to be exactly the same.

I think that means agm and lead acid which Is what I was asking about the types

Alternators don't have brains, they can not tell if you have 1 or 20 batteries or the size of each of them, only the voltage. It's not good to mix types agm and lead acid since they charge and discharge at different rates. Don't try to put 12v batteries on a 16v alternator, they swell, spill, and can go boom. Putting 16v batteries on a 12v alternator simply wastes your money cause you'll never get your use of the 16 volts. Capacitors charge and discharge faster then any battery but an alternator is buffered from that by the battery or batteries. Just like an enginet has no brain either. Feed it gas, spark, and air and it works. Adjusting those makes it more or less an efficient machine.

quality for one part, but the cones I had did not seem like they were going to really be able to handle the bl I'm expecting this thing to pound out.

I mean, they are really soft, so it won't help with linearity if they are out of phase. But don't fret, I 1000000% guarantee you WILL love what I have ordered for the softparts, I don't know if he would want me to say it expressly on here, but lets just say, there's more to the name of my omega-3 fish oils than meets the eye..............
