However, I don't exactly know what to look for apart from the obvious; loose pieces, broken solder joints. I am far from offended, more like annoyed by your ignorance. Today I also had a run in with fed-ex, not of your magnitude...but much much weirder. I got a check from my boss today, so of course I'm going to my bank to deposit it into my checking. For one reason or another the lady depositing the check into my account mentions a transaction on my account which i wasn't sure about. It says federal expressmemph. I wasn't putting 2+2 together and realizing this was fedex so i was trying to think what i could have done that equated to the charge of 136.51. So i ask her to see if she can find out where the charge came from. Well she can't find anything out, so she sends me to her co-worker. I wanted to find out if it's from Nevada because i just made an order to SHCA that i thought could have been possible for the same amount. She finds the origin or the charge while i check my paypal and find that I paid $139 out of my paypal account, not $136 out of my checking. She finds out it is from Memphis Tennessee. So i rack my brain and try to think of ANYTHING it could possibly be. Nothing. She said the transaction was made either today or yesterday and it was a SIGNED purchase...this is where it gets weird. For a signed purchase i either have to put in my pin number or actually sign something, and i HAVEN'T been anywhere or signed anything all week because i've been working every day, and my debit card had not left my sight. So now we open a fraud case with my banks fraud department and they close my debit card and start trying to figure things out. Find out ill have a new card in a few days and i will have to deal with this case. okay, no biggie, they'll take care of it. When i get home i try to do further searching being that i'm a meticulous person. Type in Federal express Memphis Tennessee and of course fedex pops up. utterly confused...From my fedex account ALL i do is schedule fedEX pick-ups...nothing else...how could they have my card information and what could they possibly bill me for? I call up fedex...first lady can't tell me anything...next lady can hardly find anything. Finally the top lady can confirm that they charged that amount to my checking account but she doesn't know why. okay? how did you get my card number? you put it in where you created an account....the fuck i did...she tells me she can't find any more information out until tomorrow and has no idea what they charged me for...fedEX for ya. He has another 750 is is going to send me right away. He could have made me wait to see how the claim pans out, but he didn't. I've done a ton of business with Drew, and will continue to. That it will be charged on some sort of basis, whether is it weekly, monthly, or yearly...and of course neither my bank nor fedex could tell me why.. I bought an AB750.1 from a member here, a member I trust and who I've done a ton of business with. The amp was working, the day before he shipped it. It got to me DOA, well went to protect immediately and stayed there. Seller had insured the amp for replacement cost, and we he called in the claim the same day. After getting the runaround for two weeks, Fedex finally created a call tag, saying they want the amp and packaging. Well, the driver finally showed up today for pickup, and I ask hom where it will be going for inspection. He tells me its an RTS, return to sender. He then said that Fedex usually only honors claims if the item is lost, not for damages. WHAT THE FUCK is the point of insuring the shit then? I went off on the dude, even though its not his fault they have shitty policies. (But im sure he's broke plenty of shit). So basically, Fedex is trying to wipe their hands of this situation by simply returning the amp to the sender. My suggestion is to take them to small claims if it comes down to it. The amount the amp costs is worth the case, I think. It worked when it left in their possession, I hooked it up the same day it was delivered, and it didn't work anymore. 1+1= Fedex broke it. I understand completely what you mean they look at the box and shit for the damage not the insides, But on another note Being shipped and DOA means something was already loose inside the amp its Circuitry you know what i mean. not saying anything bad about the seller just saying you never know when electronics is gonna go shit made cheap these days
