Fireitup Posted June 1, 2013 Report Posted June 1, 2013 I am not sure where to download a clean copy to test, i downloaded mine through spotify. The song in question is Bass Mekanik - Dr Oblivion. I wouldn't ask, but i swear when i play it i'm just waiting for my subs to seize up or, something in my car to break..
Fireitup Posted June 1, 2013 Author Report Posted June 1, 2013 The ones i found on youtube are very low quality, and sound like shit. Just fyi.
Sergeant_Skyrim Posted June 1, 2013 Report Posted June 1, 2013 Get the CD version. I'm not 100% sure so don't quote me quite yet, but I don't think any Bass Mekanik music is clipped? Edit: Unless you've got some sort of crappy version of it Build in progress
soundstream15 Posted June 1, 2013 Report Posted June 1, 2013 i doubt its clipped. those songs are meant for 0db and they are very loud. should only use a 0db test tone to set gains if you are playing that type of stuff or turn it down a few notches
purplesyrup Posted June 1, 2013 Report Posted June 1, 2013 as someone who works with music a lot, you would be very surprised how many high quality tracks are clipped like crazy from the start. Whether off the CD or a copy downloaded from amazon. Im not saying all, but you would be very surprised

Baydestrian Posted June 2, 2013 Report Posted June 2, 2013 The source of obtaining the song doesn't matter, it won't be clean on the album but magically clipped on Amazon/iTunes or illegally downloaded. Only if the bass was altered then it could be clipped. Only minor exception may be "mastered for Itunes" albums. The Great Gatsby has a Mastered for Itunes version but since it is also sold in stores I'm not sure if the pressed copy is mastered differently. This is actually interesting, my buddy bought the CD from Best Buy, I'll have to borrow it and run it through WMP and compare it to the Itunes version I have 2015 Mazda 6 JVF Customz 4.0 Proto 15>Wolfram W4500 @ .5ohm 2 Sundown Neo 6.5 + 2 CT Meso Tweeters (Front) x Kicker KS6.5 (Rear)>JL Audio VX400/4i NSB-AMG35 (front) / 40ah Lithium Headway (Rear) built by Erni Audio & Electrical
