Ba55h3ad651 Posted June 7, 2013 Author Report Posted June 7, 2013 What does dp and diameter mean in the aj designer
Dwn4BassAlan Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 dp is the diameter port width, that's the problem with free box software, it's intended for a round port, you'll just have to make it as best as you can by giving it an estimate. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room. I missed Alan. RIP 5/29/15 - I love you son.
Dwn4BassAlan Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 diameter is diameter of the subwoofer (18"/15"/12"/10") Biomedical/Behavioral Science Major, The (Self-Proclaimed) Undisputed-Homemade-Woofer-King Super-Neodymium-Woofer Build Log: The D4BA-V.2 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/169236-diy-super-neodymium-woofer-build-log/?p=2475620 Fucking love Alan you goddamned fucking super nerd lol When Alan uses big words I don't understand It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. Joe X Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 Easiest to build for 1 sub but same spec: Enclosure Specifications:Fb = 32 HzVb = 6 ft^3External Height = 18 inExternal Width = 45 inExternal Depth = 22 inPort Width = 6 1/8 inCut Sheet List:* All Dimensions in Inches.* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.External Enclosure Parts:2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 45 x 22Left & Right Sides =Side 1 = 20 1/2 x 15 3/4Side 2 = 21 1/4 x 15 3/4Front = 38 1/8 x 15 3/4Back = 45 x 15 3/4L Port Internal Assembly Parts:Front to Back = 14 3/8 x 15 3/4Extension = 9 x 15 3/4 Assembly guide (generic dimensions): Important notes:- The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the one/ones inside the port, if you want that let me know.- All boxes built outside the vehicle need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.- This box should be operated around subwoofer(s) rated power. If that´s not the case, let me know.- The port needs 6 1/8" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.- Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.
