This is after the mounting feet were placed on the rack and before a little router work!

Rounded over the front since people will be able to see it when the seats are let down.. it's all about presentation

Also all holes pre drilled!

Here's how it will look placed over the amps in the trunk.. I decided to place it semi close to the amps so that the fans will force air right on the case and also simulate how the fans operate in a computer case.. I figured since a computer is closed in, it helps flow the air better through the casing. I also felt like in open space the fans didn't blow as hard as I liked so I'm hoping with the coverage area being smaller that I'll help circulate more air!

As ya'll know my enclosure is out for paint so I decided to "integrate" the cooling rack in the trunk more than making it stand out (how the enclosure will)... With that being said I had so fresh carpet sitting from my last build

Final product!! Didn't get any picks during the process because it took both hand to stretch into corners and roll excess fabric in the holes.. But I love how it turned out!!

take a roundover bit to the port and plunge it down completely...it will leave a groove for u to tuck the carpet on, making it a perfectly straight seam..or even the same thing with a rabbet bit, but i like the look of the rounover better

Thank you for the tip! I've done that before on other projects, but this time I decided to just staple the underside due to it being placed behind the enclosure and won't be seen unless the seat is down and even then the underside wont be seen due to the slim profile... Carpeting in the Holes was a PITA but it came out exactly as I envisioned!!

Thanks bud!! And I will say, This build is VERY surprising!! So efficient that I would say it's on par with the Sp4 build to the ear!! Less power drawn (only drop to 13.7 full tilt), Less weight (no more squat) AND less strain on my transmission (drives normal)... I love this build.. The ONLY thing I would even think to change would be going back to dual Hertz for my front stage (it's definitely been a thought).. other than that, I love it JUST the way it is!! Thanks for checking in, you been a long time follower of my build lol

What up fellas!!

It's been a minute!! I got a couple updates since the last time I been on here... My box has been painted.. color matched, I also went back to Ampere Audio I'm running the 125.4 & as of tomorrow the 2000.1 ... Also I have put my dual set of Hertz Audio HSKs in the front doors, dual mid single tweeter setup and my factory 3" midranges (which surprisingly are beast and blend well with my setup) all ran active (Yes I finally grew balls and did away with my crossovers)!!

The only thing I feel I need is a rear battery (northstar gp34), to redo the body work and upholstery on my doors (I'll be doing this over the winter) and make this amp rack for my amps to sit nice, so when I have my seats folded they'll look nice.. I have 2 ideas that are pending, but I'll give ya'll more detail as the time comes!

I'll post up a couple pics of my enclosure and if I can find some videos, I'll upload those for ya'll too in just a second!!

As a matter of fact I do... I'll upload them now!! I was wanting to run for this month SOTM because I needed that battery, but everything isn't in its permanent place... BUT I have a surprise and I should be ready by next month
