Help designing and tuning box for Yukon

Recommended Posts

Here is a suggestion, slot port though:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 36 Hz
Vb = 5 ft^3

External Height = 18.5 in
External Width = 39 in
External Depth = 20 in

Port Width = 4 3/4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 39 x 20

Left & Right Sides = 18 1/2 x 16 1/4

2x Front = 17 1/8 x 16 1/4

Back = 39 x 16 1/4

Shared Port Internal Assembly Parts:

2 x Front to Back = 16 1/8 x 16 1/4
2 x Extension = 1 9/16 x 16 1/4

Assembly guide (generic dimensions):

Important notes:

- The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the one/ones inside the port here's how you do them:

- All boxes built outside the vehicle need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.

- This box should be operated around subwoofer(s) rated power. If that´s not the case, let me know.

- The port needs 4 3/4" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.

- Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.

Here's one with a round port (not showing bracing) the problem is the squarish form factor if you do mind that:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 36 Hz
Vb = 5 ft^3

External Height = 18 in
External Width = 30 in
External Depth = 24 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 30 x 24

Left & Right Sides = 22 1/2 x 15 3/4

Front & Back = 30 x 15 3/4

Port Quantity and Dimensions:

Number of Ports = 1
Pipe Port Diameter = 8
Pipe Port Length = 14 3/4

Assembly guide:

- All boxes built outside the vehicle need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.

- The port needs 8" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.

- Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.

i would do subs and port back. your truck peaks at 38-39hz so i would tune at that or just under.
