95neon_thumper82 Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 might I add something? unless you listen to like rock music I wouldn't suggest tuning that high 50 pluz hz. I had my band pass tuned there.... notice I said had... it made my damn skin crawl.... when I heard a song that had snything in that range... tune it lower... you'll be happier... I'd go with 30hz. its a nice low note... and its actually bass. not crappy sounding mids type bass.. anything lower than that and you'll have to start messing with your music files.. don't do that. the resonant frequency is a good place to start <img src=http://i1332.photobucket.com/albums/w610/beastly666bassboy/IMG_9611192581855_zps9b9b76be.jpg border=0 alt= height="75" width="800"> Growing old is necessary... growing up is an option! With proper port area and proper volume of sealed and ported sections with the right Fb, upper 40s tuning in THAT truck are proven to work very well. Oh, and that will dig the lows just fine.-Edit- Since you mentioned resonant frequency as well, that truck HAS a resonant frequency in the upper 40s to low 50s range Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
cjohnson547 Posted July 5, 2013 Author Report Posted July 5, 2013 hey clean how is your build going any progress?
CleanSierra Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 My build is stopped because I'm looking at possibly buying a different vehicle -Only one other member on the forum knows what I'm looking at... Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CleanSierra Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 Also, my port opening was going to need to be 25+ little wiggle room in width and 13+ litlle wiggle room in height. I double walled my port so it is 1.5" on all sides and it's 16" deep. The port opening itself is 10"X22" . I was looking at 220" of port for 2 15s. My tuning is also 49ish. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
