ShawnAndrewMAC
Hey guys, just wanted to know where on the enclosure I should place the subwoofer. I learned way back that it should go a port width away from the port, I have a diagram for any of you to help me with the sub location. Blue, green or in between? Namosh
I wouldn't think it could make that much difference. I'd put it in the middle just for cosmetic reasons. Quote My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
dwright27
I wouldn't think it could make that much difference. I'd put it in the middle just for cosmetic reasons. i think hes planning on running one sub correct? and was asking whther the sub should be placed in the blue region or the green region. ShawnAndrewMAC
I am not concerned about cosmetic looks, I will have a grill over top of the subwoofer and port so you won't see either. I think they understood correct, I will hold off cutting the hole till I get some more replies.
ShawnAndrewMAC
Anyone else know if it's better to have the subwoofer closer to the port?

MickyMcD
In your design, go blue. It will pervent back pressure from resisting the cone movement and will also have the benifit of cooler fresh air being brought to the motor structure. ShawnAndrewMAC
Well I am just about finished and ready to cut the hole out, any else want to chime in on where I should place the subwoofer? I like the idea Mick, we'll see if anyone else will post.
Charger
Green, the woofer will load off the port wall. With the blue you may get some phasing issues due to the sub firing so close to the port.
