I think he just meant the air inlet. You can get a K&N filter kit, but it's not gonna cool down the motor, that's not what the intake does.

Unless your motor overheats, you don't need to cool it any.

IMO Just leave it all in place. I saw a video of someone doing some testing of stock air boxes vs. cone filters. Stock airbox did better. It's a CAI stock. If you start taking off the plumbing, it'll just suck hot air from the engine bay

Ahh. Yeah did that myself back when I worked at a shop. Any more if I need to do something like that, there's a self service shop near me I use

I'll add: What you see there is wheel balance. You can feel anything over .5oz out going about 60. About .2oz going 80.
