Crazy Voltage drop help

Recommended Posts

Yeah its a good connection but I am being told I should have at least 2 runs negative from front to back.

That shouldn't be the problem.

But where exactly are you grounded? Seatbeltbolt,sheetmetal,...?

It's normal for your voltage to drop if your alternator can't support the load.

You shouldn't need double runs to the back for that kind of power.

Thinking is the root of all problems...

You ALWAYS get what you pay for.

No one has seemed to ask this unless I missed it, how are you grounded in the front? How is your alt grounded?

If that is done poorly than you will not get the power out of your alt to the rear that you need. You can have all the grounds in the back that you want but if the alt ground isnt enough...

Its grounded in the rear only. I have no runs of 0 gauge negative going from front to back so that may be the problem? I have 2 runs of positive going front to back though. All 4 batteries in the rear are grounded in the rear.

If this is true, and you aren't grounded in the front, than this is your big problem
