One Way
I heard down firing the box can help out in a soft top. Might want to give that a try. T-line build- http://www.stevemead...e-t-line-build/
mattie
Ok , I assume this box will play about to 30 hz? Oneway, I've searched all over to find anyone building a system for a convertible let alone a samurai and have come up empty handed. Ill keep that in mind though. Joe X
No it can play below 30Hz if tuned to 30Hz, even if cabin gain is very weak. And yes there are some down firing designs to try out as well.
mattie
Oh I meant the box you have designed already to 34 hz, it will probably play to 30 hz? Do you think there is a better box design that will work better? I positioned my prefab all different ways and the best output on 400 ish watts was sub and port forward so that's what I was basing my design on. DylanBunch
From my experience with my rockford fosgate t2 15 (yes I know its a different sub) is I can play about 9hz below tuning before I get a steep drop off. 2006 Ford Explorer 2 Team AA/Sundown 15s 6th order Ct Sounds 7k 4 PRV Mr500 8s Rockford p1000-2 Team Subsonic Lows

Tuned it to 32Hz which will let it play a little below 30Hz while not loosing much loudness compared to the 34Hz tuning. As for other designs, yes you can look into ported down firing boxes. mattie
Thank you so much JoeX. I can't believe all the help you give people without wanting to be compensated. You truly are a dying breed as most give up so fast. Thank you again.
