ncc74656 Posted June 24, 2013 Author Report Posted June 24, 2013 I plan to buy a cc1 and dd1 but for now its all set by ear. I'm going to fix the box tomorrow and go from there nothing, gutted
breeze919 Posted June 24, 2013 Report Posted June 24, 2013 If the sub is barely moving and getting that hot it's almost a dead giveaway that you have it wired wrong. Happens a lot when people make a mistake trying to wire the coils in series. 2002 BMW 530i [E39]|Headunit: Pioneer AVH-4300 ||Front Speakers : Diamon Audio 5.25 Components||Amps: Pioneer 4 Channel & AP30001D ||Subs: SSA XCON 15 ||Box: 4.3 Cubes @ 30hz|
Amart88 Posted June 24, 2013 Report Posted June 24, 2013 I set the gain by ear, playing a 40 herT tune waiting until I heard a difference and then pulling it back a bit. The subsonic is currently at 26, I'll turn that up. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
ncc74656 Posted June 24, 2013 Author Report Posted June 24, 2013 It is a dual 1 ohm. I have a wire going positive to negative and the amp going to the second positive and negative. That's a 2 ohm load for the amp no? nothing, gutted

severancej Posted June 24, 2013 Report Posted June 24, 2013 Ok, you must wire the coils in series. The way i interpreted it you have one coil hooked up and the other coil hooked to itself... 98' dodge ram 140A alt Big 3 XS D2700 JVC kd-r310 Rockford T500-1BDCP 2 Sundown E12 Ported 4cubes 35hz Rockford P400-4 2 Infinity reference 3way 6x9 2 Polk DB 5 1/4 2x layer dynamat all doors
ncc74656 Posted June 24, 2013 Author Report Posted June 24, 2013 No. Left pair of terminals positive to right pair of terminals negative. The remaining positive and negative on both sides go to the amp nothing, gutted
ncc74656 Posted June 24, 2013 Author Report Posted June 24, 2013 i doubled the top and rear thickness, added some padding to prevent rattling against the rear of the cab. i want to make a more secure way to hold the box but i have not figured out what i want to do there yet. i installed a new ground on the amp and cleaned up the power wires. the sub gets louder with less draining to my batteries/alt but its still not perfect. the alt held my old sub fine but this one is just to much for it. what else should i do here? i was told that MDF breaths so i want to seal the inside with paint or bed liner if not fiber glass. let me know what you think of this: roll bed liner on the inside of the box and the outside of the port. install 3 pieces of all thread from side to side and 2 front to rear. i feel like the bass is to loose, while im in the box would taking up some space in the box help with that by lowering the cubic footage of air in there? http://imgur.com/a/YZgng nothing, gutted

Tell me what happens. Only breathing would be gaps and cracks as far as your concerned. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
