It, obviously, allows you to set the voltage to where you want it. I bought the alternator last spring and installed it in August. It was used daily for a system from August to November, and has been used with out any audio gear since. This is on a 2001 Explorer Sport. As for what vehicles it fits? I'm waiting on Mechman to email me for the exact vehicles. Asking $335 shipped for the Alt and the AVBM.
