lightfoot
the D2 will play 3db louder than the D4 no matter how your final load is at the amp.

Emmet
I think he means he is going to get 10 and there is 8 d4's and 6 d2's to choose from. Why not just snag the 8 and recone the other 2? i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah.. You want this to happen to you? Joe X
Okay got a deal on 10 subs all sundown e15's, But there is only 6 d2's and 8d4's so iw as wondering im going fro 10 total subs could i do 5 and 5 or 8 and 2 would it be okay to mix cant i jsut wire d4 to d2 then wire to rest? say 2 D4's wire them together to D2 then wire to rest for a final load? If you are using more than one amplifier it's still possible. I would just go with the 8 D4s, plenty big box already and the last two would not contribute to output that much and would need extra 7 cubes net plus their area on the port. Joe X
8 D2s can be wired to 1 ohm in a parallel-series configuration, that's nominally 484W per sub @13.8 volt. Obviously you will need the electrical to support that. You could wire 10 subs to 0.8 ohm, impedance that the amp also supports.
