If you're going to sell it anyways then just stick with something around 1500-2000 watts. With that being said though, I don't think that single battery with the upgraded charging power will be able to support a true 6k RMS. IMO I would do the biggest alt u can anyways. The more solid elec u have the better. And the big 3 is a must. yup the big three is my next upgrade brfore anything else goes in my car. the HO. alts aren't cheap. I think the neons come with a 120a alt stock so would the addition of another 120 suffice? I don't plan on ever going to anything bigger in this car... because I'll probably sell it with that system in it... so would that suffice? because I can get stock alts for 100 bucks rebuilt. or would the 400 dollar HO be a must? I'm trying to be fruggle and get what I want at the same time ya dig? lol I'd rather have the HO alt. 87chevyboi Posted July 15, 2013 Report Share Posted July 15, 2013 your getting 2 15s that are 150 watts rms and ur putting a 6000 watt amp on them??? that doesn't sound right homie, your best bet would to get a bc3500...Itll do what you want and give your some room to play with...I am going to buy a mechman alt for my Tahoe, and I have heard nothing but good stories about their products. So shop around theres mechman, dc, ohio generators and singer alts that are all bangin ass alts and will put out the charge you are wanting to do. Battery bank is good to have with your alts to keep it going and hangin up in the 12 13 volt range at full tilt, and also your wires are a big role. So don't cheap out on them either...You can do about 2-3 runs of 1/0 from front to back and that should suffice. Also if you wanted to you could leave your stock alt on and get a ho alt to go with it if you really wanted to.....There's so many options so just explore them, its free to get quotes lol do a little window shopping nad see what your best deal is and how many amps your gonna need so you get the right stuff for your amperage draw.
