wrexxy
since the majority of the two have the same $$, I was wondering if anyone had any input. Is the DEH-80PRS worth the money? (ie same $$ as a double din)
Omega5002
Depends what you're looking for from a headunit, the 80 prs has some nice active crossover features, and processors usually seen from the top end Pioneer single dins. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
wrexxy
right now i'll just be using the sub pre-out, but in the future i plan on upgrading the front&rear. so 3 preouts is a must (preferably 4V +) bluetooth audio streaming and phone functionality would be nice, as well as usb and aux connections
Quiet
If you'll use it's DSP and active filter, definitely 80PRS. If you just want to adjust bass and treble but want video or nav get a Double Din. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.

Quiet
Still won't handle my 24/96 material though. Hell I'm mad it doesn't support FLAC or I woulda bought one. Now if I get one the wifey called dibs and I get her DEH-9400BH SMH. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
bcbrassard
80-PRS for sure! Running it active and sounds amazing with large tuning processor. Great HU!
Josef344
I vote for the 80prs. I'm happy with it and loving it every single day. The thing is like spaceship controls tho haha.I was in the same situation you were in before. The 80prs has what I needed in a head unit. The double din was just to "look good".
