i very seriously doubt that what your hearing is port noise. it sounds to me that you dont need to be playing that far below port. why in the fuckin' world would you tune at 40hz if your wanting to play down into the 20's?

i have mine 15'' is tuned to 40hz and i play at 26hz but with aero port this box that iv made is my friend's box. do u think i need to make a little bit of port area per foot?

tx

lower port area will definitely increase the bandwidth of the enclosure, but no matter how you polish the turd, at the end of the day it is still a turd.

Box is tuned too high for what you are wanting to play.

But lets rule out other things before you start on your next enclosure. Could you post up detailed box specs?

Box looks fine at a glance, I would have braced it a bit but that's just me.

I will ask you this though: How in the world do you plan on getting accuracy to the 1/1000 of an inch?
