David Posted February 23, 2008 Report Share Posted February 23, 2008 he is a noobie, and we all were at somepoint in time, but to think he is aprofessional becuase he has won a few trophies is rediculious, when I first met him, Doug Stockton ( the event promotor(sp) asked me to help him out as much as I could dialing in his system, when I looked at the system it was a ratsnest of wire ( all to small for what he was trying todo) and the amp wasnt set-up at all like it should have been, after about 20 mins of messing with it I got him a little bit louder than what he was. If power wire fuse is blowing, wire might not be the greatest, it's grounding out somewhere, or amp is trying to pull too much current through too small of power wire which in turn causes it to heat up, build up more resistance, and blows the fuse. 99vic Posted February 23, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 23, 2008 What's the fuse size on the Audiobahn amp?What size power wire are you using from the battery to amp? i have 4 40 amp fuses and now i changed out my fuse block to a anl 120 amp. it was a maxi 100 amp fuse. the pawer wire is a 4 gauge street wire kit. it has more wire than plastic if that makes sense ( i seen some kits that had alot of plastic and less wire.
