I am also looking at the Lanzar OPTI2000, I know they put out more then they are rated and it is cheap. I'm thinking about the AQ but if the 1200D is $249 how is the 2200D going to be less then $400? audiofanaticz Posted February 24, 2008 Report Share Posted February 24, 2008 Either way, if you want a 2000wrms amp its going to ruffly take the same electrical upgrades as any other amp that puts out its RATED power. example.. power acoustik Power Acoustik OV1-5500D vs a t20001bd fosgate. The PA is rated with 5 30 amp fuses (150 amps total) The RF is rated with 1 250 amp fuse. We all know the PA is not going to make the 3200wrms by 1 @ 1ohm it may be lucky to do it in peak (but thats a whole nother story) but on the RF amp however it says it is 2000rms by 1 @ 1ohm and it will do that and some more, so it will need the extra amperage to have it play properly Most likely the RF amp will walk all over the PA with the proper electrical upgrades.
