Looking for someone who has a lot of expirience in subs on this one. I'm looking at getting two Alpine type X 12's and a Hifonics Brutus 2400W Super-D Monoblock amp. One alpine is rated at 1000 watts rms according to sonic electronix which means I should be able to run 2000watts rms total between the two. the amp I'm looking at is rated at 2400watt rms at 1ohm. I want to get as much power as possible. now I know that more than likely this amp will not be putting out max power cause i'll only be running it at 12V (I do plan on running 2 batteries and upgrading the alt eventually). so I want to know... Will I be safe to run these 2 subs at the full 2400watts at 1ohm.

I have a BRZ2400.1D an its a BEAST but it is very demanding on electrical .

if you are willing to pay $280 for each sub, you could get Fi, AA, Sundown etc. for about the same price.

Should check read

Yes but why would you other then it cheep

The subs will take it

But for daily it not needed

And you'll see very little difference between a quality lower rms amp and that

But you'll get a lot longer use out of the better amp

I plan on running zero gauge, doing big 3, running 2 batteries, and more than likely upgrading the alt so i'm not worried about power. I like alpines so I was set on those and haven't really taken the time to look into other brands. i'll do some more research

For the same price you could do

2x hdc3 on a sq2200

2x sa on a sq2200

Have you thought about a single 15

You could do a zv3 or xl on 2200

And if you can push the budget ip 100 to mid 9's

Depending on amp you'll even be looking at an lvl5 15

Don't rule out 10's either dual or triple, in the higher end underground brands stuff it will leave most mainstream for dead
