So going to run 6 4ohm subwoofers under my back seat. 5 1/4" Tangbands in a little over 1ft cubed tuned to 35hz with a 3" Precision port.

Wiring options at 2.66 what I prefer. .66 which I doubt anyone makes a mono amp that does 250wRMS at .66ohm lol. Or wire to 6ohm and find an amp that does 250ish at that.

My current amp does 500wrms at 4ohm supposedly. Just guestimating it would do 330ish at 6ohm which is still on the high side...and where it is mounted I wasnt to use for the enclosure so I have to move it to a smaller space.

I was looking on ebay at some old stuff but its a gamble.. JL has the 250.1 but thats at 2ohm so power will be lower then I want.

ANy ideas?

Subs are rated 40wRMS and 80wmax I'm guessing I will want to stay in the RMS rating since they are 5.25" and not really designed to be overpowered like the brands you see here haha.

buy a zed audio buildt old shool amp easy to repair if they broke but they rarely do that. the oldest i currently use is buildt 1988

I had an MTX Thunder421D that was pretty decent, I found one on ebay for $35 that's a really good deal if it works mine was $200 new. I used to push 2 infinity 12's no problem at 2 ohm.

why not just replace 6 woofers with one and give yourself more options

find me a woofer that fits in 1ft cubed with 5" x 48" mounting face. I'm just looking for amp suggestions I don't need to swayed from my choice of subwoofer. Last few builds people try to tell me to change woofer idea yet I accomplish what I want. So anyone have amp suggestions? I am going to check out the mtx.

I found a 300 tested and working on ebay for 110ish shipped and I can make an offer. Do you think 100$ is a fair price for the Ref 300? I was looking through the spec sheets you sent..the 500 might be a bit too much but the 300 is about as good as I can get to match rms at a weird impedance. I could always dial the gain back a little on the 500.

How much would you want for it?
