TITUS1985
The amp is rated at 1 ohm ... http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_13932_Autotek_MX-15001.aspx Might just have pore cooling system ... Or it could be bad, I hate saying that because nobody wants to hear it. But, with that said even my $1600 Audison amp was bad :/ so it can happen.. Best of luck with the amp man. dsw422
Thanks all the replies. Have all 4ga power and ground with a good ground. Electrical system charges at 13.7 volts.I was playing for about 25 minutes. It is powering 4 kicker comp 10s. I was playing dubstep and hiphop.. i controll gain with bass knob never more than 3/4 way up. The input level is 2 volts. Guest
are you using the remote wired knob that came with the amp? cause it could be a bass boost knob, instead of a gain attenuation knob which is better IMO. unless you're using a pac lc-1 or something similar, which is a gain attenuator. are you SURE you're wired to 1 ohm? have you verified this with a multimeter? you could just be overdriving the amp if you are clipping it hard. SnowDrifter
Ok. So you charge at 13.7 what do you drop to if you measure the voltage at the amp? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
