Setup options/opinions *loaded question inside*

Hey all, trying to decide about another setup I want to do. I am not looking for a debate but rather some real world experience with what might be better for a pure ground pounder. Straight SPL machine for daily listening on music. Before I lay it on you we have to assume a few things

#1 proper electrical no matter what

#2 Box built specific for either application, which means exact box may very but specific to sub/amp specs

#3 if one setup would be a wall than assume equal setup would also be walled, I.E. not a wall vs non-wall issue

If i forget something i will add it in a later post

Not gonna say what vehicle it is yet because it's irrelevant given the fact the box would be the same setup, apart from possible equipment differences. slot port, wall, 4th order, etc. the box would be same setup EXCEPT built specific for the equipment.

ok, DC 10k OR 12k on 2- 18" OR 4 - 15"

Looking for which would be *louder* I guess.... so it would be 18's on 2x the power each 15 would see. 4 - 15" = greater cone area which is a plus but if I went 18" route they would have more power, of course they would also prolly be subs that would handle the larger quantity of watts going to them though. Higher end 18's but only two or slightly lesser 15" subs but 4 of them.

Box options are actually still pretty open to whatever would make either setup loud to the ear, NOT a meter

I hope what I am asking makes sense

Let the trolling begin......

Its a vs thread but theoretically more cone area is a much more effecient method to gain spl than power( if all excursion limits are the same and such)

Good lord sweet baby Jesus. Did you read the thread at all?

Asking opinions about 15" or 18" for SPL purposes is Vs. thread?

It's not a vs thread... Don't worry about it. Anyways! I would say do a forth order with 4 15s on 2 5ks. That shit would get down.

Edit: A 4th order wall of course.

Now get to work! :detail:

Nothing for now...

Did you get that scar tissue when you got your vagina installed?

I'd grab Adam's ass and look him in the eyes for a demo of nates truck.

You could list the car and box specs

And leave it open

But prices and experience will also come into play

The Loudest/spl to me is as much cone and power as you can fit in that area in a propley built box with correct airspace

I would love the sound of a 4th order but I absolutely love watching the excursion of subs while your vision is blurred so 4th order is out, nothing better than that IMO
