ncc74656 Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 so i have a 20ga wire running from deck to an amp (about 6 feet). the sheething is cut back and 2 more wires are taped into this one going to 2 other amps and then another wire coming off one amps remote on screw to my cross over. how important is the wire on remote on? what kinds of voltages does it run? what is the best setup to run? a wire going from deck to a distro block or to some kind of relay to turn on 12V wires from elsewhere? nothing, gutted
SnowDrifter Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 It runs 12v Without it your amps don't turn on Tony C aka Snafu on here makes these awesome turn on relay kits ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Hammer Knock Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 looks like a nice fused kit. guess its worth the price?? if the car doesn't stall, you have enough voltage. DEH-6400BT BC3500D on 2 x 12" Lanzar Opti1233d QBOMB 4.5cu 1/0 awg, Lanzar AMPKIT0 Singer 275 + LCAKT50DBL
will77530 Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 your shit sounds quite ghetto, you dont need the relay kit for a couple amps but i would use like 16ga wire instead of the 20
ncc74656 Posted August 10, 2013 Author Report Posted August 10, 2013 i built a relay kit for the power on. given there are 4 devices to power i figured it wouldn't hurt. nothing, gutted
