For $300, you can get the VSX-823. It is a nice receiver. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
beaker Posted September 21, 2013 Report Posted September 21, 2013 I usually just surf craigslist and research whatever is out there. You can get some really nice ones for around 150ish. You have to be careful though, some of the older recievers only pass through audio from HDMI.

Newegg and Amazon had great prices in November and best buy price matched. My brother got the 1022 for around 250 I think. I'm running 7.1 with the pioneer Andrew jones speakers with front height and I love it. 6 or 7 hdmi ins, hdmi passthru, phone and tablet app, works for streaming from devices easily, good eq and TA. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
