Here's where Im at right now: Im putting on the back wall before I leave for work tomm, and the top on during my lunch break. By the time Im home from work for the day, the box should be all set. Saturday I plan to cut the three holes, and start sanding.. and then priming. I finished assembling my box, and made a ghetto circle jig for my router haha As funny as it looks, it worked well.. I also finished the mockup of my other amp rack. Im headed to work now, but I plan to cut out the rack after, and then sand everything. Priming and painting is tomm. hdorre Posted January 13, 2014 Author Report Share Posted January 13, 2014 I made a but of progress today.. I installed my box, but COMPLETELY forgot about something.. fail on my part.. See that "bend" on my hatch cover? Yea, thats what I forgot about. I was livid when I tried to close my hatch. So I start investigating. See where the issue is? If not, lets zoom in That black box is my rear wiper motor. I was going to try and relocate it to the next hole above. Looks like it should fit perfectly.. right? Well yes, it would. I start unscrewing the 3 bolts and try to remove it. One problem.. Its attached to my wiper arm. That leaves me with 2 options: Deal with it, or remove the rear wiper. Im not willing to get rid of it. Turns out, the hatch JUST BARELY closes just fine without the cover. Hmm.. I might take my dremel and drill around the part of the cover that sticks out. Then, Ill paint the motor dark charcoal. You shouldnt notice it until you look at it. Ill look deeper into that tomorrow. When I unboxed my second box, I was happy to see a DC Audio Lanyard. I swear, its about the little things... I finished tuning late this morning, and set the SSF to 25hz on a 12dB slope. I had two demo sessions while my alt wasnt giving me issues and had NO issues playing sub-30hz whatsoever. While is plays lows well, it doesn't have any issues playing the high 50s either. I feel bad for my car.. especially my hatch haha.. The subs are KILLING it lol It appears the the voltage regulator is bad, so Im going to have to send it back. Im very happy with Mike's CS thus far.
