Helix shallow mount subs

looking at Helix Esprit E8W shallow mount i would get 2 for a 2 ohm final load. i am using them to beef up my mid bass seeing as my box doesn't like the midbass notes very well. i had a feeling it wouldn't but had to try , anyways i would use them for around 80-125 Hz just wanting some opinions on if it would sound good if the box is air tight. i may go a little bit higher on frequency but i would want to hear it first

Are your midbass in the component sets not giving you enough output? It looks like a nice driver and I'm sure it sounds great but I could recommend a pair that would keep you under the price of one of those Helix; that will play higher, and be better suited for midbass. Do they need to be under a certain depth? These will play up to 800 hz if you want. You would want to wire them in stereo L+R if that were the case.

These are deeper but they are a proven performer. I could throw out a couple more but want to make sure depth is not an issue.

That looks realllllly similar to a kenwood excelon 8"

From personal experience: Tang band w6-1138 does pretty well in the midbass department

if it does maybe i will just pick up two sets of these for front and back and a good 4 channel like helix dark blue or zapco
